The Joint Business Forum
On the 12th of February, we were in collaboration with Amcham Sweden and the French Chamber of Commerce in Sweden, delighted to welcome our members to an engaging discussion on global trade. We were delighted to welcome Anna Stellinger, Deputy Director General and Head of International and EU affairs at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise as our speaker to share her perspectives on current global trade developments.
During her presentation, Stellinger outlined five trends for businesses to keep in mind in 2026. These included the return of geography as a strategic factor, the EU’s position in trade and how trade policy today extends beyond traditional economic exchange. She also reflected on shifting global power dynamics, the emergence of new trade agreements, and the continued relevance of the World Trade Organization.
Before continuing the evening with networking between the three chambers, our engaged audience raised questions regarding the EU’s evolving trade discussions with the UK and whether recent U.S. trade actions may have contributed to certain positive developments in global trade dynamics.
We sincerely thank everyone who was a part of this event and a special thanks to Hammarskiöld for their hospitality and generosity in hosting us!
