72nd Annual General Meeting

On 21 May, the BSCC hosted its Executive Board Meeting, followed by its Advisory Board Meeting—exclusively for our patrons—where we had the pleasure of receiving an update from the UK by H.E. Samantha Job CMG MVO, the British Ambassador to Sweden. Following these meetings, Magdalena Gerger, Chair of the BSCC, warmly welcomed members to the 72nd Annual General Meeting at the British Ambassador’s Residence.

During the evening, we were honoured to hear from our guest of honour and speaker, Per Sundin, President, Music & Artist Relations at Pophouse Entertainment. Per spoke about the importance of embracing change as a driver for growth and innovation, highlighting the Swedish music industry as a prime example of this. He shared insights into how Swedish music and listening habits have influenced the global music landscape, particularly for emerging artists seeking to break into international charts, and emphasised the importance of collaboration within the industry. Per also reflected on his experiences working with pioneering artists such as Avicii and ABBA, offering members inspiring perspectives from his career in the music industry. Following his engaging presentation, he generously answered questions from our members.

A sincere thank you to H.E. Ms. Samantha Job CMG and the entire British Ambassador’s Residence team for hosting such a wonderful evening. We also extend our gratitude to our speaker for sharing his valuable insights, and to all our members who attended and contributed to a memorable event.
