UK Government: Erasmus+ programme

The UK will rejoin the Erasmus+ programme in 2027, opening up fantastic opportunities for collaboration between the UK and Sweden.

Some highlights include:

  • Swedish students, including PhD students, can spend up to a year at a British institution or undertake traineeships—and British students can do the same in Sweden.

  • Vocational trainees can participate in workplace exchanges or skills competitions.

  • Teaching staff will have opportunities for exchanges and job shadowing.

This is a great step for strengthening UK–Sweden connections in education, research, and skills development.
