James moved to Sweden from the UK at the start of the millennium and was a co-founder of The Local in 2004. The Local provides local news and advice for international professionals and expats in nine European countries. James is currently CEO & Publisher at The Local and is also a panelist and regular commentator for Swedish, British and US media, talking about issues affecting international professionals and Swedish current affairs.

Philip  has worked for Handelsbanken for almost 35 years, with much time spent in the UK. Philip held the position of Head of Private Banking – among other positions – in Handelsbanken’s London office. Philip is currently Senior Relationship Manager at Handelsbanken in Stockholm.

Rebecca is a Senior Associate in the Employment Law Practice Group at Eversheds Sutherland Advokatbyrå AB. Rebecca’s practice covers most aspects of Swedish employment law. She also represents companies as counsel in court and in arbitration labour law proceedings.

Oskar is Vice president of Public & Regulatory Affairs at Vattenfall. He is heading the units of Public & Regulatory Affairs on all Vattenfall’s markets (Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, UK, France, EU/Brussels) and is also a member of the Communications management team.

Charlotte is an entrepreneur, with one foot in the family business, DUX and one foot in new ventures such as the tech start-up Endbright. Charlotte is active as an advisor and board member in several companies and organisations, not least as Vice Chair of the BSCC Executive Board.

Claes Berglund has been a senior executive in the shipping industry for 15 years, including leading roles at Stena Line. Previously he worked for 12 years in road-based transport and third-party logistics services. Mr Berglund is also a reserve officer in the Royal Swedish Navy.

Magdalena was appointed Chair of the BSCC at the AGM on 31 May. Magdalena was formerly the President & CEO of Systembolaget AB where she worked from May 2009 until 1st February 2022. Magdalena currently holds non-executive board positions with Investor AB and Peab and she is the Chair of Nefab and of the Royal Academy of Engineering – the Business Council. She is a member of VW global Sustainability Council.
