YPP: Leading AI Transformation
On the 23rd of April, we had the pleasure of, together with Eidra, welcome our young patrons to the second session of the Young Patrons Programme, focusing on artificial intelligence and its impact on organizations and competitiveness.
The seminar which focused on AI transformation and how companies should navigate the changing business climate featured Ian Richardson, Director of Executive Education Stockholm University;Torgny Gunnarsson, Deputy CEO Combient Group and David Lesmes, Senior Relationship Manager at Combient as our speakers.
The discussion explored Sweden’s position in the global AI landscape. While historically seen as an innovative country, concerns were raised that Sweden may be lagging behind in AI adoption. At the same time, increased familiarity with generative AI was highlighted as a positive development.
A key theme was the challenge of keeping pace in a rapidly changing environment. While awareness of AI is growing, many organizations are still struggling to fully understand and implement it, with internal resistance — particularly at middle management level — identified as a barrier.
Participants emphasized the importance of taking a more pragmatic approach by actively engaging with AI, building basic understanding, and translating it into business value. Curiosity, speed, and collaboration were highlighted as key drivers moving forward.
We extend our gratitude to our speakers for generously sharing their expertise, and to Staffan Hedbäck, Magdalena Bohlin and Eidra for generously hosting us.
A special acknowledgment is also due to the Young Patrons’ whose engaging discussions contributed to the success of the evening. We look forward to seeing you all in September for further discussions
