The British-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (BSCC) is looking for a Communications Manager with an interest in international business, entrepreneurship, and British-Swedish relations to join our Secretariat in Stockholm.

About the job
We offer a dynamic and varied role with a broad range of responsibilities across communications, events, content and member engagement. As Communications Manager, you will work closely with the Secretary General and the Secretariat and have an important role in the day-to-day communication and activities of the Chamber.

The role combines planning and coordination with hands-on execution, and requires someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable managing several projects and priorities at the same time.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Plan and create content for social media, newsletters and the BSCC website

  • Manage and maintain website content and digital communication channels

  • Coordinate and support BSCC events, including invitations, registrations, communications and follow-up

  • Write and edit communications, articles, event materials and other content

  • Support member and stakeholder communications and enquiries

  • Manage and maintain the CRM and contact database, including data updates and audits

  • Monitor and report on communication and engagement activities

  • Support media monitoring and other communications activities

  • Take responsibility for assigned projects and contribute to the day-to-day work of the Secretariat

  • Coordinate and supervise interns, including allocating tasks and reviewing their work

Requirements

We believe you have:

  • Relevant experience in communications, marketing, events, project coordination or a related field (1–3 years)

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills

  • Experience creating content for social media and digital channels

  • Strong organisational and project management skills

  • Experience with digital tools such as Squarespace, HubSpot and/or Eventbrite

  • Good Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • The ability to work independently and take initiative

  • An interest in international business and British-Swedish relations

Experience in event coordination, graphic design, email marketing or CRM systems is an advantage.

The Applicant

We believe you are a digital native with some work experience, a genuine interest in international business, strong English language skills, and high social competence.

We are looking for a person with an inner drive to deliver and who is open to assisting with a wide variety of office duties. We value creativity, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

We are looking for someone who likes to take initiative, use critical and analytical thinking, and assume responsibility when working with our British and Swedish members.
