Within the BSCC network, there is extensive knowledge and expertise. We are always eager to share relevant insights, news, and useful information. This week we are happy to share updates from Intrum, AstraZeneca, and Husqvarna.

Intrum

Intrum has appointed Johan Åkerblom as President and CEO of Intrum, after joining as CFO in 2024. This leadership transition marks an important step in Intrum’s ongoing transformation, building on its strong position in the financial sector and commitment to long-term growth.'

AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca is in the process of a £650 million investment into the UK with £450 million going to R&D and vaccine production in Liverpool, and the remaining £200 million on expanding their presence in Cambridge which will create 1000 new jobs.          

Husqvarna

Husqvarna has announced Glen Instone as its new President and CEO, effective 11 August 2025. The appointment signals an exciting new chapter for the group as it continues to strengthen its position in sustainable outdoor products and innovative solutions. With a strong track record inside the company, Instone is expected to drive further innovation in electrification and smart solutions.
